This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is SB3100-8086-3013, which is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-03. The associated standard industrial code is 3577 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. Delivery of items is to be within 30 days after award of contract (est. NLT May 20, 1998) FOB destination. Items shall be delivered to Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna, DDSP-HW, Warehousing Branch, SB3100, Bldg 203, Door12, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-0789. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial applies and an adendum which states that "the following four paragraphs of provision 52.212-1 are hereby deleted: (d) Product samples, (e) Multiple offes, (h) Multiple awards and (i) Availability of requirements documents cited in the solicitation." Pfovision 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies with technical capability and past performance as evaluation factors. Technical capability will be met when complying with the items requested above and past performance will be met when complying with provision 52.212-1 (b)(10).
