This work shall include the collection of field data to address specific data gaps in the existing peleoenvironmental model; and the integration of this data into both a final report, and a geospatial database in ArcView format to integrate the paleoenvironmental and chronostratigraphic field data. It is anticipated that the period of service for this work shall conclude by 01 May 1999. The proposed procurement will be on a sole-source basis. The USACERL Contracts Office intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price purchase order with the University of Kansas' Department of Geography, Dr. William C. Johnson. Services to be provided will be accomplished through simplified acquisition procedures. Request for Quotation (RFQ) no. DACA88-98-Q-0123 will be issued on or about 13 April 1998 with a required closing date of 30 April 1998.
