R -- CADASTRAL SURVEYS PART I OF III DUE 052998 POC Contact Brenda Oster 605/673-2251, Wayne C. Kewley, Contracting Officer Contracts to secure Cadastral Surveying Services on an individual project basis for the following work located on the Black Hills National Forest in South Dakota. Contracts will be negotiated with the highest ranked firms evaluated as stated below. The prices for the individual projects will be negotiated with the highest ranking firms first, and with each successive firm, until a fair and reasonable price can be reached. Only firms with Registered Professional Surveyors licensed in South Dakota will be considered. The intent of this announcement is to obtain a list of qualified professional surveying firms to survey and mark the legal property boundary of the National Forest System lands within the Black Hills National Forest for fiscal year 98 (October 1, 1997 -- September 30, 1998). The Government estimates three projects will be negotiated in Fiscal Year 98. These projects will include corner search, monumentation and perpetuation of all property and controlling corners associated with the surveys. South Zone Cadastral Survey 98.2 is located in Sections 21 -- 22 -- 27 -- 28 & 34, T.1 S., R.5 E., B.H.M. in Pennington County SD, and consists of approximately 4.1 miles of boundary posting and associated corner work. South Zone Cadastral Survey 98.3 is located in numerous sections between two and seven miles south of Custer SD, consisting, dependent on funding, of up to 20 miles of boundary posting and associated corner work. South Dakota Cadastral Survey 98.1 is located Sections 1 -11 & 12 T.4 N., R.3 E., B.H.M. in Lawrence County SD, and consists of approximately 4.7 miles of boundary posting and associated corner work. These projects have a mixture of original surveys which need to be retraced, re-established where necessary, and the property boundary of the National Forest posted. These projects may include Homestead Entry Surveys, Mineral Surveys and Rectangular Surveys of the Public Land Survey System, including section breakdown.
