Albany, CA has a requirement for an upgrade to our existing Instron
model 4502 Universal Materials Testing System which performs load
versus elongation stress versus strain tests and grips specimens. The
upgrade will allow us to measure tensile, compression, flex and
coefficient of friction, peel and tear modules. Include machine
control, data acquisition, software and advanced calculations, advanced
test profile, cyclic control and other features. The upgrade consists
of Test director, one year software support plan to upgrade existing
version of 1X software, Pentium Computer, monitor, color printer,
hardware installation and training, The upgrade from the Instron 4502
to the 5500 will cost in excess of $40,000 and perspective bidders must
be able to utilize our existing Instron 4502 or present proposals on a
new systems for our evaluation which can perform the same as the
Instron 4502 & Instron upgrade 5500. A solicitation is not available
for this notice. Interested firms are encouraged to submit proposals
containing descriptive literature of their products to the mailing
