The functions are: Technical and Security Administrative Support, Software Development and Maintenance, Hardware Systems Operations and Support, Database Management System Support, Systems Engineering Support, Help Desk Administration, Training, and Deployed Technical Operations Support. The period of performance will be a basic period plus four option years. A hybrid firm fixed price and cost type contract is anticipated. An overview of the A-76 study has been briefed to industry on 24 September 1997 and 13 February 1998. Full and open competitive source selection procedures IAW AFFARS Appendix BB (for acquisitions under $120M) will be utilized to determine the best value private sector offer for cost comparison with the in-house offer.
