This sole source procurement is for technical expertise during major
and minor inspection cycles and continuous higher level maintenance
guidance for U.S. Customs UH-60 fleet of helicopters. The technical
services required are needed at the maintenance repair site located in
Tuson, Arizona. The type of contract envisioned is firm-fixed price
with cost reimbursable, no fee travel. The period of performance covers
a period of October 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999 and four
one-year options. This procurement requires a firm who can dedicate one
full-time, ready and able field service representative, capable of
responding immediately to the maintenance needs of Customs operational
UH-60 helicopters on a moments notice. These helicopters require the
highest level of operational readiness for drug interdiction mission

requires continuous technical expertise from the original equipment
manufacturer. The firm selected must also have explicitknowledge of
Customs' UH-60 helicopters configured for special operations, their
capabilities, and state of operational readiness in order to provide
the same high level of uninterrupted maintenance. United Technologies
