COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 6,1998 PSA#2067COMMENTS ON REAL ESTATE PRACTICES The Department of the Treasury's
Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture (EOAF) is seeking comments on
real estate practices. EOAF administers the Department's seized
property program and is interested in receiving comments on best
practices from real estate services groups or brokers on best practices
to handle the custody, maintenance, and sale of real properties,
judicially forfeited, to maximize revenues from their disposition. The
Treasury Department's law enforcement agencies seize real properties
throughout the United States and its possessions. These real properties
may include vacant land, single family residences, townhouses,
condominiums, apartment complexes, operating businesses and other
commercial properties. EOAF is only requesting information at this time
on possible new, better and innovative ways to accomplish the
Department's goals in this area of seized property management.
Respondents should not assume that new contracts will be let; nor
should this be considered a Request for Proposals. Comments should be
addressed to Mr. Raymond Mastrogiovanni, Real Property Team, Executive
Office for Asset Forfeiture, Suite 700, 740-15th Street, N.W.,
Washington, DC, 20220. Submissions of six (6) pages or less may be
faxed to 202-622-9610. The comment period will close on June 12, 1998.
All submissions will be acknowledged. The Government is not
responsible for costs incurred in preparing a response to this notice. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0428 19980406\SP-0012.MSC)
