This announcement constitutes the only quote; quotes are being requested and a written Invitation for Quote will not be issued. Number DAKF57-98-Q-0117 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotes. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This procurement is issued as 100 percent set-aside for small business (SB) concerns. If adequate response is not received for SB concerns, the quote will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SB concerns. Concern means any business entity organized for profit with a place of business located in the United States, included, but not limited to an individual, partnership, corporation, joint venture, association, or cooperative. This is an "all or none" quote; no partial responses will be accepted. The size standard for any concern including its affiliates with an average annual sales or receipts for its preceding three fiscal years shall not be in excess of $18.5 million. SIC Code: 7513. Anticipated start date is 1 May 1998. Provide rental of two (2) each pickup trucks, 1 ton (or 3/4 ton), four wheel drive, with trailer hitch for the period 1 May through 30 September 1998; and four (4) each pickup trucks, one ton (or 3/4 ton) with trailer hitch for period 1 May through 30 September 1998. All vehicles should be 1997 or 1998 models and meet all vehicle rental safety standards. Contractor to deliver and pick up all vehicles. Quoted prices for each type of truck (with or without four wheel drive) to include a monthly, weekly, and daily rate per truck; the flat rate per mile charge; or the minimum number of miles per month allowed (if any), and how much per mile for the overage miles. Vehicles may be returned early. If vehicles are returned early, charges will cease twenty four (24) hours after the Contracting Officer notifies vendor to pick up vehicles. Also include the charge per gallon for gasoline when the tank is not filled upon return. Unit reserves the right to inspect contractor's vehicles along with the contractor before acceptance.
