This project involves raising approximately 2.8 miles of the east levee of the Yolo Bypass a maximum of 5 feet from the Sacramento Deep Water Ship Channel, upstream to the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing. The project also includes reconstruction/raising access ramps, relocation utilities, and excavation/rough grading 52 acres for the environmental mitigation and borrow material for the levee raising. The mitigation site is located along the West berm of the Sacramento Deep Water Ship Channel approximately 2.5 miles South of the levee raising. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1629. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. PLANS AND SPECIFICATION for this project must be ordered and the check received by the CUT OFF DATE of April 17, 1998, to ensure receipt of bid sets at a cost of $25.00 for specifications (text only); and $35.00 for full-size drawings. Half size drawings and CD-ROM are not available. Orders received beyond the CUT OFF DATE, April 17, 1998, will not be honored. Plans and specifications will be mailed out on or about April 27, 1998. Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm.
