70 -- CISCO HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE DUE 041398 POC Carol Monsour (810) 574-7095 The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (USATACOM-WRN) intends to negotiate with Cisco Systems Inc., on a sole source basis for on site maintenance of hardware and software. TACOM is issuing a combined Synopsis/Solicitation pursuant to FAR Subpart 12.6, this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals will be accepted, however a written solicitation will not be issued. This request is for on site maintenance of the following hardware and software items from Cisco Systems Inc.: two -- Cisco 7500 series routers, three -- Cisco 5000 series routers, six -- Catalyst 3000 switches, two -- Lightstream 1010 ATM Switches, twenty-one -- Cisco 753 ISDN modems, three -- Cisco multinet for open VMS. Telephone and next business day on-site service is required to include all parts, labor, and material required for remedial service. All software upgrades are to be included for the covered systems. Service coverage shall be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and ii) price. Offerors Representation and Certification -- Commercial Items at FAR 52.212-3 are required to be submitted with the offer. This commercial services solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; it is issued as a request for proposal (RFP); proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 90-45.
