The Maintenance and Logisitic Command, Pacific is proposing a contract for the dockside maintenance for the Coast Guard Cutter Chase (WHEC 718). The cutter's homemoorage is located in San Pedro, CA. The period of performance commences 20 Jul 1998 and completes 04 Sep 98. Major work items include and not limited to water tight door expansion joint renewal, reduction gear steam heater inspection, renew stbd line shaft bearing & shaft alignment check, turbine inlet screen renewal, cleaning and calibration of gages, tachometers and thermometers, ss boiler steam valve overhaul, hydrotest of low/medium air receivers, halon piping replacement steering gear overhaul, bow propulsion unit (BPU) hydraulic accumulators inspect and test, warping capstan overhaul, davit systems filter and check valve installations, et shop and em shop electrical matting replacement and temporary service and etc. The solicitation is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
