The purpose of this position is facilitating implementation of the May 1996 Barbados Actions Plan and the May 1997 U.S.-Caribbean Summit Action Plan. In consultation with the U.S. embassies in the region and when possible in tandem with a Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) Counterpart, incumbent will work with representatives of other donor nations, Caribbean nations, and international regional organizations to further implementation of the Actions Plans.
