The United States Air Force intends to issue a full and open competitive request for quotations to replace air conditioning in Building 1999 at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment and transportation to remove existing air handler unit, condensing unit, mechanical room ductwork, all associated refrigeration piping, electrical wiring, and re-heat coils in ductwork in attic space. Installation of new air handler, liquid chiller (20 Ton), ductwork, piping, electrical, and associated controls (to include circulation pumps, motorized valves, and temperature controls. The Government will provide Chiller and Air Handler. A firm fixed price purchase order is planned with an expected period of performance of 30 calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed with the exception of long lead items which shall be verified in writing from the supplier to the Contracting Officer. The magnitude of this purchase order is between $25,000 and $100,000. All interested parties should respond in writing only within 15 calendar days of this notice. A site visit will be held on 22 April at 10:00 a.m., at Building 1999. All quotes are due Friday, 24 April 1998, not later than 2:00 p.m. All work will be completed in strict accordance with the statement of work which will be made available from Hanscom AFB construction contracting on 21 April 1998. Statement of work may be picked up at the site visit.
