Curtis, (301) 713-0823, ext. 141 NOAA intends to award a sole source purchase order to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) for the purpose of developing a study of ocean circulation and variability in the North Atlantic current and subpolar gyre from satellite altimetry. This study will utilize existing historical documentation developed by WHOI staff member, Dr. Philip R. Richardson. Because of Dr. Richardson's longstanding participation in, and development of, this work, no other entity is believed to be capable of performing the required work in accordance with the established schedule. First deliverables will be required within 90 days from date of purchase order issuance. No solicitation has been prepared or is available.
