implementing the replacement network, the U.S. Secret Service intends
to extend a part of contract TSS950011 on a sole source basis to Sprint
Government Systems Division, 13221 Woodland Park Drive, Herndon, VA
22071 for support and maintenance of the Secret Service electronic mail
and messaging system. This electronic mail and messaging system is a
proprietary, customized hardware and software application developed,
implemented, and maintained by Sprint. The period of performance is
from June 1, 1998 through September 30, 1998. This notice of intent is
not a request for competitive proposals. Firms must submit a
capability statement and all pertinent information identifying their
capability to supply the required services. This information will be
considered only if clear and convincing documentation, including
technical and pricing information is received by this office within 15
days after publication of this notice. No solicitation document is
available. Telephone inquiries will notbe accepted. The Government will
not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing a response
