N/A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: HIGH POWER RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) TRANSMITTERS Contract, WR-ALC/LNKB, Deana Lord, 912-926-3018. The Electronic Warfare Management Division of Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is interested in potential sources of high power, RF amplifiers/transmitters suitable for use in an airborne electronic warfare environment. WR-ALC/LNERL is currently conducting investigations into the replacement of existing vacuum tube technology transmitters with either improved, higher reliability vacuum tube transmitters or solid-state transmitters. Information is solicited concerning the current state-of-the-art and near-term advancements in solid-state transmitters, vacuum tube transmitters, RF amplifier module design (solid-state and vacuum tube), and both high and low voltage switching power supply modules. Information received will be used to support the development of a performance specification to be used for the procurement of a replacement for the AN/ALQ-161 Band 8 Transmitter and/or the development of a system segment specification to be used for the procurement of replacement subassemblies to be used in the existing AN/ALQ- 161 Band 8 Transmitter. The developed specification(s) will be distributed to qualified industry sources for comment at a later date.
