The Air Operations Department of the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement to provide aircrew support to the Naval Air Systems Command/Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. This support includes the following services: Search and Rescue, Medical Evacuations (MEDEVAC), Range clearance, Logistic flights, passenger transport flights, and Test and Evaluation flights. The command presently uses three UH-3H helicopters and three UC-12B aircraft to accomplish this mission. In addition, other helicopters or fixed wing aircraft may be used. This is a competitive negotiated acquisition. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery orders is anticipated. The Government intends to use the "best value concept" in awarding this effort. Contract term is one year with option to renew four 1-year terms. A security classification of SECRET is required for performance on this contract. Offerors who have requested a copy of the RFP will be notified viae-mail when it is released.
