Engineers Construct navigation improvements at King Cove, Alaska,
which involves a 1,750 l.f. rubble mound breakwater, a dredged entrance
channel to -17 ft. MLLW, and a dredged mooring basin to -16 ft. MLLW.
Armor rock protection on the breakwater will consist of stone ranging
from 2,500 lbs. to 4,200 lbs. Dredged material (approximately 333,000
c.y.) will be disposed of offshore in deep water near the site.
Construct a concrete navigation marker base at the end of the
breakwater. A contractor's staging area will be provided at the harbor
site. Range: $5,000,000 -- $10,000,000 -- FFP 365 days completion time
