This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quote number DAKF57-98-Q-0142 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The quote document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-4. The quote is unrestricted with a SIC Code of 3631. and a size standard of 750 employees. Clin 0001, Purchase of 1200 each Microwave ovens. Ovens to have, as a minimum, the following characteristics: portable, oven can be placed on counter or table; one(1) cubic foot oven capacity; 1000 watts cooking power; electronic touchpad controls; preprogrammed cooking pads for frequently microwaved foods(minimum of 5 modes); programmable heat settings; digital clock with automatic oven timer; interior oven light; rotating turntable; sturdy door opening mechanism; 120 volts, 60Hz, 13.0 amps, 1.5kw; cabinet size cannot exceed 22" x 13" x 18"; exterior color shall be a manufacturer's standard color as selected by the Contracting Officer. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination, with desired delivery of 15 June 1998 and required delivery 30 June 1998, to DOL Supply Division-CRP, Bldg 9630 MS-18D, Box 339500, Fort Lewis, Wa 98433-9500. Provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Since this is an RFQ, paragraphs (b), (c), (f), (g), and (h) of FAR 52.212-1 are deleted. Wherever the words "offer", "proposal", "Offerors", or similar terms are used in this solicitation, they shall be read to mean "quote", "quotation", "quoter", or similar corresponding term reflecting that this is a Request for Quotations, not a Request for Proposals. The Government will select a quoter(s) whose quote(s) conforms to the solicitation and will be the most advantageous to the Government,price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotes: price, technical, and past performance. Technical and past performance, when combined, are less important than price. completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items shall be submitted with quotes. Contract(s) will be entered into using SF 1449. A bilateral order requiring the quoter's signature will be issued by the Contracting Officer. A contract is formed when the quoter signs the SF 1449.
