R -- PROVIDE, MANAGE AND OPERATE A LONG-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM FOR OTS EMPLOYEES SOL RFP-TOT-98-0005/C88005 DUE 052298 POC POC-Douglas Mason, Contracting Officer, (202)906-7624 Once again the OTS is seeking proposals from interested firms that operate as insurance carriers (no brokers please) to manage and operate a long-term disability (LTD) insurance program to cover approximately 1300 OTS employees (current and future active full-time and part-time employees, and temporary employees -- non-permanent appointments). The LTD program will serve as a supplement to disability benefits currently available to OTS employees under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), Civil Service Retirement System (CRS), and the Financial Institutions Retirement Fund (FIRF) retirement systems. The program shall cover all OTS employees nation-wide. This is an unrestricted procurement. The resultant contract and program will cover calendar year 1999 and it will also provide for optional calendar years 2000 and 2001. Anticipated RFP issuance date is April 22, 1998, with a closing date of May 22, 1998.
