This is a combined synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be used. 98T1468, 1469 & 1470 are issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation documents, and incorporated provisions and clauses, are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This is an unrestricted procurement, and offers will be accepted from large or small businesses. 98T1468 -- L/I 0001, qty. 5ea. NSN 1680012892958 Actuator, electro-mechanical, line Features -- electronic motor, jackscrew and pistons, housed in cast aluminum, contains micro switches and connectors, and is designed for push-pull action. Used on the B-1B aircraft. 98T1469 -- L/I 0002, qty. 2ea. NSN 1680011484138 Gearbox assembly, aircraft Features -- goes on the right side of the B-1B aircraft. 98T1470 -- L/I 0003, qty. 5ea. NSN 1680011826354 Actuator, electro-mechanical, line Features -- temperature rating of 265 degrees F, 35 amps, AC current, electric braking, .900" per second and .174" per second stroke velocity, 320 and 420 hertz. Duty cycle -- 1 extended stroke, 15 -- 20 seconds off; 1 retract stroke, 50 -- 70 seconds off. Delivery must be made by 22May98 to Dyess AFB, TX. FOB point should be that which is most advantagous for the contractor. The provision at Far 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provision at Far 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, and the following evaluation factors will be included in paragraph (a) of the provision in descending order of importance -- (i) technical capability of the items offered to meet the Government requirement;(ii) price; and (iii) transportation costs.
