POC Mr. David A. Austin, (719) 333-6224 Uniforms consist of men's
coats, trousers, and overcoats; women's coats, skirts, slacks, and
overcoats. Garments shall be manufactured from tropical wool polyester
and wool elastique, sponged material in accordance with USAF Academy
specifications. The basic fabric only will be provided to the resultant
contractor as Government Furnished Material (GFM). The proposed
contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract with a basic
period from date of award (anticipated o/a 1 Sep 98) through 31 Oct 99
with 4 one year options. Estimated yearly quantities (to include
fill-in orders) are: Coat, men's -- 2200 ea; Coat, woman's -- 500 ea;
Trousers -- 6200 pair; Slacks -- 800 pair: Skirts -- 130 ea; Overcoats,
men's -- 425 ea; Overcoats, women's -- 85 ea. Exact quantities and
sizes will be provided no later than 15 Dec of each year by delivery
order. First articles of each garment shall be required within 45 days
after contract award. GFM and one master pattern for each garment will
be provided for the first articles subsequent to contract award. The
master patterns shall be used for grading and development of necessary
working patterns. Inspections, during the manufacturing and packaging
process, shall be performed at the contractor's place of manufacture
by a Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) representative. Final
acceptance will be at the USAF Academy. Delivery shall be FOB
destination, USAF Academy CO not later than 30 Apr of each year
beginning in 1999. Request for Proposal F0561198R0707 (to include all
