The Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP) of the National Cancer Institute's Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD) is seeking an organization to provide for the storage and distribution for their repository of chemical and drug samples. This contract is responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, documentation, and inventory of synthetic compounds, bulk chemical drugs and crystalline natural products which have been identified as potential anticancer and anti-AIDS agents. The repository currently consists of more than 600,000 compound samples. The contractor shall take responsibility for all tasks of the repository. The responsibilities shall include the receipt, weighing, distribution and storage of new and previously acquired chemical samples. The contractor shall also provide for the proper disposal of samples which have been returned from various screening laboratories. The contractor shall prepare Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for specific compounds as required by the Project Officer. In addition, the contractor shall work with contractors and staff of the Information Technology Branch (ITB) of the DTP in the testing and implementation of the new ORACLE-based Drug Information System currently under development by ITB contractors. It is anticipated that a single cost-reimbursement level-of-effort award will be made for a five year period of performance with incremental funding each year. Offerors will be invited to submit proposals for 17,575 direct labor hours per year. This is a recompetition of contract N02-CM-57205 currently performed by McKesson BioServices, Inc.
