The work of this project consists of maintenance and improvement dredging of the Cape Cod Canal, Massachusetts. Maintenance dredging will consist of removing approximately 30,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel from shoal areas in the Hog Island channel and 70,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel from the East Mooring Basin and the adjacent channel. Improvement dredging will consist of removing approximately 1000 cubic yards of sand, gravel, and boulders from the area near the Cleveland Ledge Light. Some boulders may require drilling and blasting to remove. Material dredged from the East Mooring Basin area will be disposed at the Cape Cod Bay Disposal Site. Material removed from the Hog Island channel and the Cleveland Ledge Light area will be disposed at the Cleveland Ledge Disposal Site. The estimated cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about 4/29/98 ata cost of $15.00 per set. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District. (0098)
