This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only invitation for bid solicitation. A written invitation for bid solicitation will not be issued. The invitation for bid solicitation number is DACW27-98-B-0021. Bids may be submitted on an SF1449 or letterhead stationary and must indicate the solicitation number, bid opening date and time, name, address and telephone number of bidder. General The contractor shall furnish all material, equipment and labor necessary to perform all operations necessary for furnishing and delivering stainless steel anchor bolts as specified herein: In 3,000 psi concrete, the bolts must have allowable working shear load of 11,000 lbs and an allowable working tension load of 6,000 lbs. The wedge anchor shall be removable. The wedge anchor drill holes shall not be larger than 1 1/4" diameter. THE WEDGE ANCHOR SHALL BE FABRICATED OF STAINLESS STEEL! American Made Certification shall be provided by the contractor. Delivery of all items is required no later than May 21, 1998, FOB, DESTINATION, to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville Repair Station, 2605 Shippingport Station, Louisville, Kentucky 40212-1010. A firm-fixed price is anticipated to result from this solicitation. DETERMINATION OF AWARD: The Contracting Offi7cer will make contract award in accordance with FAR provisions 52.214-10, Contract Award-Sealed Bidding. Award will be made without discussions to the responsive/responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to this solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price and price related factors. Any solicitation amendments issued by the Contracting Officer must be acknowledged by bidders. Bidders must hold bid price 60 calendar days from the bid opening date.
