Powell, Contracting Officer, (202) 324-3318 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award an Indefinite Delivery -- Indefinite Quantity type contract "name brand or equal" for the following Panasonic equipment: 1) Cameras and Camera Accessories; 2) Video Cassettes; 3) Digital Video Equipment; 4) Lenses; 5) Monitors/Monitor Receivers; 6) Switchers/Quad Splitters/Imagers; and 7) Video Cassette Recorders/VCR Accessories/Camcorders. This contract is for a time period of award year with four, one-year options. As used in this solicitation, the term "brand name" includes identification of products by make and model. Such identification is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive. If the offeror proposes to furnish an "equal" product, the brand name, if any, of the product to be furnished shall be provided in the proposals. This solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the FAR Subpart 12 and circular 97-3. The Request for Proposal number is 7180 and is not set aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3861, the size standard is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide on a FOB destination basis to the FBI, Engineering Research Facility, Quantico, Virginia, or locations within the CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The guaranteed minimum is $200,000.00, with an estimated amount of $15M, over the life of the contract (award year with four one-year options). The estimated RFP release date is 4/23/98.
