The basic requirement is for seven (7) sets of Guppy 1 MOD E submarine batteries, six (6) sample cells, forty-two (42) spare cells, engineering services and associated data plus an option for eleven (11) sets of Guppy I MOD E submarine batteries, sixty-six (66) spare cells, engineering services and associated data with two (2) options for activation; plus an option for one (1) set of Seawolf submarine batteries, twelve (12) spare cells, twelve (12) sample cells, activation, engineering services and associated data. RFP N00024-98-R-4072 will be negotiated with GNB Industrial Battery Company, Lombard, IL, since they are the only qualified source. Deliveries to commence 9 MAC for MOD E and 12 MAEO for SEAWOLF.
