D -- MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION BENCH SOL N0042198q5287 DUE 043098 POC Francine Keys (301) 757-2528 The Patuxent River NAWC has a requirement to procure an Magnetic Particle Inspection Bench per specification : current generation, the magnetic particle inspecton system must be capable of magnetizing the part in both AC and DC modes. The sytem must provide a minimum of 4000 Amps Ac and 5000 Amps FWDC current. The current control shall be infinitely variable. The coil shall conatin 5 turns and 16 inches (min) in diameter. The tailstock shall be adjustable and locking. the current indicator shall be digital and conform to industry accyracy and calibration standards. The system shall include a diminishing AC demagnetization cycle. Current application shall be accomplished using an hip bar. The sytem shall include adjustable time shot control. the tank shall be maufactured from stainless steel. The system shall include a frame and hood with an exhaust fan. The light system shall include 150 watt, slef ballasting black light and white light with mounting arms and brackets. The system shall include a bath pump with a filter, mixing tube, hose, spray nozzle and control value. The system shall accommodate inspection of parts up to 54 inches in lenght and 100 pounds in weight, a quick break capability. The equipment shall operate on 480 Volt, 60 HZ, 1-Phase power. The contractor shall provide owner/operator manuals for this system. The delivery shall be 60 days of receipt of order. The contractor shall provide a standard, warranty. The warranty must cover parts and factory labor cost for the repair and replacement of all defective and affected components assoicated with restoring the system to full design capability.
