Aerospace Exhibition (Booth Space Rental); to be held at the ILA 98 Air
Show at Berlin-Schonefeld Airport in Berlin on 18-24 Apr 98. Line Item
0001 -- ILA '98 Int'l Aerospace Exhibition 4 meters x 18 meters (72
square meters) USA Pavilion Custom Booth Package, which includes
exhibit space, carpeting, daily cleaning, nightly security and on site
supervision. Line Item 0002 -- Electrical/Power outlets Exhibit Space
(220V/50Hz/1500 W) located at 3 evenly spaced locations across the
back wall. Line Item 0003 -- Three lockable crendenza or information
counters. The approximate issue/response date will be 10 Apr 98. The
anticipated award date will be 15 Apr 98. Written procedure will be
used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or
faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All
responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation
which shall be considered. The proposed contract action is for
supplies and services for whichthe Government intends to solicit and
negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the
authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest
and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However,
all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is
issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of
publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A
Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract
based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of
the Government. Information received will normally be considered
solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. Mr. Stephen J. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman
to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the
proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate
contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not
diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting
officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the
preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source
selection process and, therefore, for routine matters on individual
