Z -- RENOVATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS AT RUSSELL RESEARCH CENTER IN ATHENS, GA SOL FSIS-12-W-98 DUE 052798 POC Madonna Langley The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will be renovating the Eastern Laboratory's basement, first, second, and seventh floors. FSIS is looking for a contractor to furnish the labor, equipment, materials etc., necessary for the renovation of space at the Russell Research Center, 950 College Station Road, Athens, GA. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: BASEMENT: construction of new offices, conference and equipment rooms, including new air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services; addition of new emergency eyewash/shower and new electrical duct heaters in existing office space; FIRST FLOOR: installation of ventilation relief ductwork for existing system; SECOND FLOOR: installation of owner-furnished "UPS" system and isolation glass storefront; SEVENTH FLOOR: removal and replacement of ceiling tile and grid, light fixtures, A/C diffusers, floor tile, and paint all walls in 7 laboratory modules; replace countertops in lab modules; install new owner-furnished casework, plumbing and electrical services modified; install new reach-in doors on existing corridor wall for existing walk-in cooler. Total estimated cost of construction for this project is between $225,000.00 and $325,000.00. Time for completion of work will be approximately 120 calendar days.
