A -- SPECIALIZED RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT POC Contracting Officer, Ralph Urias (210) 536-6316; Contract Negotiator, Lt David Long (210) 536-6343 The Air Force Research Laboratory, Human Effectiveness Directorate, Integrations and Operations Division (AFRL/HEOP), intends to contract with Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. under contract F41624-94-D-6001 to increase the ceiling value by $1,628,000.00 from $3,908,000.00 to $5,536,000.00 and increase the ordering period of the contract by three and 1/2 months, from 9 Sep 98 to 31 Dec 98. Thus, the contract period of performance will be increased from 1 Sep 98 to 31 Dec 99. This contract provides support to programs in diverse areas including: Biodynamics and Biocommunications, Human Engineering, Crew Technology, and Air Crew Training Research. The support will include planning and programming; impact analysis; information management; requirements analysis; financial analysis; acquisition documentation; data review and analysis; compliance evaluation; engineering requirements analysis; human factors support; reliability, maintainability, and supportability; structural analysis; engineering analysis; simulation/simulator support; engineering and experimental design. Significant documents will include the preparation of annual Technology Area Plans, annual acquisition packages, periodic financial assessments, and technology assessments to meet directorate and Laboratory objectives.
