An in-home evaluation of beef steaks is required for the USDA, ARS, US Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, NE. The contractor shall supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary to conduct the evaluation. The contractor shall recruit 640 households from the populations of two major metropolitan areas, provide questionaires and instructional materials, conduct an orientation with at least one panelist per household, collect data, and shall deliver to the Government appropriate computer files and all completed questionaires. The contractors proposal shall indetify which cities will be tested and provide justification for the choice of those cities. Within each city the contractor shall recruit consumers for this experiment at random that are willing to participate, between the ages 21 and 64, moderate to heavy beef users, willing to grill or broil the meat, and have a minimum household income of $20,000. Evaluation factors for award of the contract are: 1. Technical approach/ understanding ofthe requirement 2. Similar experience 3. Management structure to facilitate responsiveness.
