INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR TRACKWORK FOR THE ST. CLAIR COUNTY METROLINK EXTENSION SEALED BID NO. ML-97-SB-2324 The Bi-State Development Agency (Agency) is soliciting bids for Trackwork for the St. Clair County Illinois Metrolink Extension project. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is 25%. DBE firms are invited to propose directly or with another firm. The trackwork contract is comprised of furnishing and installing all mainline and yard tracks. The work will be built on subballast capped roadbed prepared by others. The mainline work consists of furnishing and installing the necessary new 115RE continuously welded rail, ties, ballast and other track appurtenances. Construction consists of approximately 17.4 miles of double track. The yard work consists of furnishing and installing the necessary rail, ties, ballast and other track appurtenances. Construction consists of approximately 1.6 miles of single track. The cost for a set of plans and contract documents is $325.00. This cost is non-refundable.
