Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1521, General
Contractors -- Single Family Houses. The work includes, but is not
limited to, selective interior repairs to one duplex family housing
unit on Porter Road (Quarters 15/16), selective interior repairs to one
duplex housing units on Upshur Road (Quarters 43/44), and selective
interior repairs to two single family housing units on Bowyer Road
(Quarters 82 and 83). Interior repairs include plaster repair and
replacement, upgrading of bathrooms and kitchens, repainting of all
painted surfaces, repair and upgrading of all floor surfaces,
replacement of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, and
abatement of hazardous materials, and incential related work.
Competitive negotiation procedures will apply. Contractor will be
required to submit technical and cost proposals. The following
technical criteria will be required: (1) Specialized Experience, (2)
Project Staffing, (3) Project Management, (4) Subcontracting Plan. A
non-refundable charge of $165.00 per solicitation package is required
and checks should be made out to "US Treasurer" and either submitted in
writing or pick up at the DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE DETACHMENT OFFICE,
ATTN: KEVIN GABEL, 901 M STREET S.E., BLDG 143-1, WASHINGTON NAVY YARD,
WASHINGTON, DC 20374-5030. Request for bidders list must be made
separately and will be mailed. Please note that plans and specs will be
issued on a "first come, first serve" basis until supplies are
exhausted. The estimated date for issuance of plans and specs is 22 APR
98. Site visit information will be contained in the solicitation. The
estimated date for receipt of proposals is 27 MAY 98. The estimated
