The scope of this project includes construction of channel improvements to Holes Creek, demolition of an existing building; concrete encasement of a buried water line; construction of a steel 47' wide by 76'-8" long railroad bridge, including construction of temporary anchored sheet pile walls, demolition of existing wingwalls and abutment ends, excavation for new steel H-pile foundations; driving of H-piles; encasement of existing abutments; construction of new wingwalls and abutments; construction of temporary supports for on-site fabrication of new superstructure; support of existing bridge while preparing for demolition of bridge; drilling of holes for Hydraulic Splitting of existing bridge and abutments; protection of new encased abutments and temporary roll-in supports while existing bridge is being demolished; actual bridge demolition procedure, placement of precast abutment cap beams; roll-in of new superstructure; precise placement of new superstructure on the bearings, grouting and shotcreting of abutments; backfilling of new bridge; and preparation for return of railroad tracks to service. This is not a design-build. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). Offerors will submit a price proposal and technical proposal. The technical proposal will be evaluated on the following criteria: (a.) Methodology & Resources, (b.) Past Performance and (c.) Subcontracting Plan. This is a Continuing Funds Contract. Estimated Value -- $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. This project is available on compact disk only.
