This is notice of intent to negotiate with EF Data Corporation, 2105 West 5th Place, Tempe, AZ 85281 on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase 2 ea EF DATA SLM 8650 High Speed Modems with Reed Solomon Codec, Sequential Decoder, Drop & Insert Interface, 8 PSK & 16 QAM Modulation & High Output Option, p/n: A10100. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with EF Data Corporation for the procurement of these modems. These modems are unique and currently the only modem that the VP Special Projects aircraft has a flight clearance to use with the KIV 7HS cryptographic equipment. Delivery is required to be FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland within 30 days after contract award.
