A -- NON-HUMAN PRIMATE ANIMAL MODELS FOR EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON CHRONIC LYME NEUROBORRELIOSIS SOL RFP NIH-NIAID-DMID-99-03 DUE 070198 POC Ann Jaggar, Contract Specialist, (301) 496-6423, FAX: (301) 480-5253, E-Mail: aj8q@nih.gov The National Insitute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has a requirement for "Non-Human Primate Animal Models for Experimental Research on Chronic Lyme Neuroborreliosis" The major objective of this contract is to characterize the pathogenesis associated with chronic Lyme neuroborreliosis in great detail, as well as to develop novel and more effective therapeutic approaches for treating this infection. The work is intended to supplement and enhance current clinical studies and to provide new insights for the design of future clinical studies. It is anticipated that one (1) cost reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded for a period of five (5) years, beginning approximately May 1, 1999.
