FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire engineering and technical support services on a sole source basis for Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Conversion & Repair, USN, Portsmouth, VA 23455. This sole source acquisition will be awarded as a modification to Contract N00140-93-D-CD11 which currently expires on 15 December 1999. A total estimated level of effort of 262,326 hours will be added to this Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract in order to meet the performance schedule until contract expiration. The services will be acquired from Q.E.D. Systems, Inc. of Virginia Beach, VA. A CPFF modification is anticipated. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. See Numbered Note 22.
