S -- BIOHAZARD WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES SOL RFQ 405-0063 DUE 070998 POC Jeffrey Chesko, Contracting Officer, Phone: (606) 253-8897 The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a Non-Personal Services contract for Biohazard Waste Management Services at the Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland, Maryland. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government, price and price related factors considered. The contractor will be required for the pick-up and disposal of medical waste. Services will be required during the normal work week, an estimated 144 boxes per year. The size of the boxes will be 75 cubic inches. The base year of the contract will run for 12 months from the date of award, with four (4) one year option periods for renewal, with an anticipated award date of October 1, 1998. It is anticipated that the solicitations will be mailed approximately May 12, 1998, with an approximate due date of July 9, 1998. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered for award.
