13 -- FRANGIBLE TRAINING AMMUNITION DUE 051198 POC Joyce Collier, Contracting Officer, 410-278-3423 The Contracting Directorate, USAMC Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, is seeking sources who can provide a 5.56mm Frangible Training Ammunition that will function in the M4/M4A1 Carbine without breaking up either in the weapon or in flight. Minimum projectile weight is 40 grains. A jacketed projectile is desired, but not required, to prevent break up. The ammunition must utilize the standard M16/M4 Magazine. Responses should be submitted in three copies and should include: (1) a description of capability, including past experience with related effort; (2) current company lierature, including product specification, drawings, pictures, and any commercial/ marketing material available; (3) whether or not the firm is a large, small, small disadvantaged business, or woman-owned business; (4) any other pertinent information.
