The HT/MT Modernization Program, Contract DAAB07-92-C-A507 will be modified to increase the quantity of the following: Frequency Upconverters by 57 each and Frequency Downconverters by 57. These converters required for this acquisition must be form, fit and functionally compatible with the existing HT/MT Up and Down Converters. These components must interface with the existing Converters already fielded and those stocked at the depot. Harris Corporation developed and is presently fabricating the HT/MT Modernization Converter Components. Harris Corporation is the only source which has the combined technical documentation resources and facilities necessary to fabricate and deliver this equipment and satisfy the Government's requirements. This is a sole source acquisition with Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Florida, authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6-302-1(b).
