Swanson, Contract Specialist, (931) 454-4409 Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) is a U.S. Air Force installation which performs aeropropulsion and aerodynamics testing of military and commercial aircraft systems. The Center is beginning a five-year major upgrade effort to replace existing manual control systems in the Engine Test Facility and Propulsion Wind Tunnel Facility with modern automatic control systems. The control systems shall be comprised of commercial off-the-shelf Human-Machine-Interfaces, distributed process controllers with inputs and outputs for field devices, a data network, application development tools, and government-developed application software. AEDC personnel will develop and install the control systems. All applicable components shall be Year 2000 compliant. A five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is contemplated.
