The Social Security Administration (SSA) seeking a commercial off-the-shelf software product(s) that can convert American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions into human readable electronic fo review in its field offices (FO). SSA is currently operating a pilot of receivi ASCX12811 invoice transactions for telephone bills and translating them into acc transaction with the Mainframe version of Sterling Commerce's GENTRAN software. SSA wishes to automate the invoice verification process by acquiring software th allow the appropriate FO's to read the EDI transaction, make any necessary adjus and electronically confirm the bill. All electronic transactions shall use SSA infrastructure. SSA uses the Sterling Commerce Connect:Direct software for file between Mainframe platforms and NT servers. The SSA-FO WAN/LAN topology consists of Pentium Desktop PC's operating the Microsoft Office Suite, including Internet Explorer for Intranet Access and NetSoft's NS Elite 3270 for Mainframe Any responsible firm that feels it has the capability to provide a software prod meets the requirements as stated herein may respond to this RFI.
