17. A five (5) year requirements contract for repair of PTO Shaft. NSN
2835-00-390-1884; P/N 19E173-2C, Applicable to F-15 Aircraft. Actual
Best Estimated Quantities (BEQ) are as follows: 1998, 188 1999, 400
2000, 400 2001, 300 2002, 200 Over and above hours for this items are
128 hours for the life of the contract. Data and military packaging
applicable to the above are required. Quality: ANSI/ANSQ 9002-1994 or
equivalent applies. Repairs are to be performed in accordance with the
Statement of Objectives and Appendix C. Contractor furnished
materials, government furnished equipment, and contractor acquired
property ARE NOT AUTHORIZED. The tentative issue date of the
solicitation is 22 May 98 and the tentative closing date is 22 Jun 98.
The approved source is Lucas Western, Inc, Utica, NY. Telephone
requests are not acceptable. Only written or faxed requests received
directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources may
submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered.
Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services)
required are available from only one or a limited number of
responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will
satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the
buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or
to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your
concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman
has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors
during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman
does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting
Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,
and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.Interested
