Contracting Officer, 606-253-8883 The Federal Bureau of Prisons,
Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Cumberland, Maryland intends to
award a Non-Personal services contract for Dermatologist Services. The
contractor will be responsible for submitting written reports,
evaluations, and/or plans of treatments for all patients evaluated and
provide the following: a) study, diagnose and treat medical disorders
in the area of dermatological disorders. b) organize the record data
concerning patient, family, personal, medical and mental history. c)
determine onset of symptoms obtained from patients and other sources to
determine type of treatment needed. d) examine patients, determine
dermatological condition, follow standard dermatological medical
procedures. e) order laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and
evaluate data obtained. f) determine nature and extent of dermatology
disorder and formulate a treatment program. g) review medical records
and treatments initiated by the physician assistants and nurse
practitioners. h) provide follow up care to inmates who have had
dermatology treatment in the community hospital. i) provide quality
improvement documentation and activities for patients treated. The
Bureau of Prisons anticipates a Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type
contract. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business
concerns. The contractor will include a base year, with four (4), one
(1) year option periods for renewal, with an anticipated award date of
October 1, 1998. Option year #1 will consist of eight (8) maximum
sessions (2 per quarter). Option year #2 will consist of eight (8)
maximum sessions (2 per quarter). Option year #3 consist of eight (8)
maximum sessions (2 per quarter). Option year #4 consist of eight (8)
maximum sessions (2 per quarter). The anticipated issue date of this
solicitation is May 11, 1998 with an anticipated receipt of offer due
June 30, 1998. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or
quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Requests for
