R -- PROVIDE, MANAGE AND OPERATE VISION PLAN FOR THE OTS SOL RFP-TOT-98-0006/C88006 DUE 042498 POC Point of Contact -- Lawrence A. Schlosser, Contracting Officer, 202-906-6193 The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) will request proposals from firms operating as insurance carriers (no brokers, please) to provide, manage, and operate a vision plan covering the following groups: (1) current and future active full-time and part-time OTS employees and their dependents; (2) future retirees and their dependents; (3) surviving spouses and dependents of deceased retirees; and (4) temporary employees (non-permanent). One proposal will provide fixed rates for four levels of coverage featuring differing benefits and deductible amounts at each level for groups (1) through (4). The contract will feature a base year (January -- December of 1999) and two option years. A second proposal will be requested for the same requirement over the same periods of performance but will only cover groups (1) and (4). Proposals will be required on an insured basis only. The OTS will issue a single contract for this requirement. The OTS cautions potential respondents that not all elements for which rates are being requested will be a part of the OTS' final vision plan. The RFP will be issued on or about April 30, 1998 with submission of proposals on or about June 1, 1998. All responsible carriers may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government.
