The Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) intends to award a sole source contract to Rockwell Collins, Inc. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa for fiscal year (FY) 1998 AN/ARC-210 Electronic Protection (EP) radio equipment requirements. The FY98 requirements include: up to approximately 700 AN/ARC-210 radios, including options, of the RT-1794(C)/ARC configuration and associated equipment; supplies/services for a combined Reliability Warranty/Commercial Repair Depot; support equipment; engineering technical support; integrated logistics support; spare and repair parts; and associated data. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in August 1998. The FY98 procurement will be supported by an organizational to commercial depot maintenance with a performance and reliability guarantee. Rockwell Collins, Inc. is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/ARC-210 EP radio equipment and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time.
