The government intends to procure on a sole source basis to Lawrence Semiconductor to provide silicon-germanium epitaxial deposition services using rapid thermal chemical vapor deposition (RTCVD) system. Set-up will be required for a maximum of six dirrerent deposition recipes. A maximum of fifty 150mm wafers will have depositions from some combination of these six recipes. Rutherford backscatter analysis will be required on a maximum of ten samples of deposited layers. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplemented with information included in this notice. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses at FAR 52.213-4 Terms and Conditions -- Simplified Acquisitions (FEB 1998), and any others that are applicable and in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) and the Defense Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. No RFQ will be prepared or made available.
