70 -- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON COMPUTER AIDED-DESIGN (CAD) SOFTWARE. SOL 105/00000/98-01 DUE 042498 POC Contract Specialist, MAJOR ALICE RHODIE, (205) 955-6823 The Missile and Space Intelligence Center is interested in seeking information on Computer-Aided-Design Software that meets the following requirements: 1) Runs on multiple platforms (Sun, SGI, NT); 2) Produces geometry that is compatible with MSIC analysis tools (i.e., RCS-XPATCH, FISC, HyPACED CFD Euler Code) for signature prediction and computational fluid dynamics. Must be able to output trimmed IGES 114 and 128 surfaces as well as triangular meshes with no overlapping facets or unmatched nodes or holes in the model; 3) Performs model analysis such as mass estimates, moments of inertia, etc. 4) Has a database type structure so that parts can be generated and used in different models; 5) Produces line drawings and 3-D rendered images of the model; 6) Can perform layout design such as that of an office complex; 7) Can produce animation of moving parts of the model; 8) Has the ability to build models as combinatorial solid geometry (CSG); 9) Can import 2-D data and models from AutoCAD; 10) Has a robustIGES translator and can input/output data in standard IGES format as well as a mesh format (facet file); 11) Can be licensed such that anyone on the network can use the code from any machine until all licenses are in use; 12) Must be able to extract dimensions interactively from the model.
