202-942-3541 The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is
seeking sources to indicate interest in providing software to be used
in an enterprise-wide electronic workflow system. The workflow system
will be part of an eventual Knowledge Management System that will
accommodate workflow, imaging, an electronic document management
system, and other related technologies. This is not a request for
competitive proposals. The purpose of this notice is to develop a list
of qualified firms that can provide this service. A response to this
request for information does not guarantee that a firm will be
solicited in any solicitation issued as a result of this request for
information. The FDIC technical environment consists of multiple
platforms; e.g., a centralized IBM mainframe, a centralized and
distributed client/server network running Microsoft NT, and desktop PCs
connected by a private wide area network and numerous local area
networks. Employees may need a remotely access any of the previously
detailed components. The workflow software must be compatible with a
Microsoft client/server environment using Microsoft Office '97 and
Windows 95, and must support SQL Server DBMS. FDIC has prepared an
electronic form for vendor response that covers both business and
technical qualifications, Interested vendors should send a written
